New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs circa 850 people across three sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from all around the world. Location: 48 Cox Lane, Chessington, KT9 1TW
Hours: 7am – 7pm
Accountabilities
- This position is responsible for efficient and accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of frozen and chilled goods at NESI Chessington.
- There is a requirement to work in cold environments as low as -60°.
- To supply business operations with all required frozen raw material in a timely manner.
- To support the Supply Chain packaging warehouse team where necessary.
- Take delivery of raw material and supplies:
- Verify and confirm all received products
- Check for damaged or missing items
- Receipt/transfer goods onto stock systems following the technical specification
- Report undelivered, damaged or missing items to procurement team
- Report raw materials out of specification to technical department
- Record time of arrival and time required to unload vehicle
- Record and report any other issues preventing efficient receipt of goods
- Store all raw materials arriving on site in the correct locations

- Good numeracy and IT skills – Knowledge of MS Office & Sage 500
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to plan and organise work, prepare daily work schedule
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count stock items
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Good attention to detail, Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
- Flexible approach to duties and tasks, job requires supporting the rest of Supply Chain team
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
- Ability to make decisions - guiding yourself with little or no supervision, and depending on yourself to get things done.
- A forklift truck licence is desirable, however training can be given
