Job Description – Warehouse Operative:
As of October 2020, NESI is owned by Sealaska, an Alaska Native regional corporation for Southeast Alaska formed under federal law in 1971. With more than 23,000 shareholders of Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian background, its purpose is to strengthen its people, culture and homelands. The company was founded by Fred Stroyan in 1991, and Fred remains involved in the business.

Reporting to the Yard/Warehouse Supervisor, we are seeking hard working and conscientious individual to support our warehouse team.
The core shift will be 4 on 4 off 05:00-17:00
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the area of work (Drystore and/or Coldstore), racking and mechanical handling equipment is safe and logged via the WorkSafe system.
- Ensuring Warehousing meets company policy in terms of hygiene and food safety at all times and in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Accurate Receipting materials in and booking materials out using the BUSINESS CENTRAL (BC) system via a scan solution ensuring all trace detail correct.
- To be able to pick from lists produced by planning which may require splitting of a pallet as a pallet quantity may be too much.
- Report any near misses or damages in a timely manner.
- Monitor and escalation non-moving, delisted, quarantine stocks and samples.
- Regular stock takes of Physical to BUSINESS CENTRAL (BC) and root cause of any variances.
- Work with other Warehousing operations (Drystore / Coldstore / Yard) and Departments as needed.
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Good timekeeping
- Ability to priorities workload
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Previous Warehousing experience
- Full UK Driving license (pre-requisite)
- Reach Truck license In Date (with at least 2 years experience)
- Counterbalance FLT license In Date (with at least 2 years experience)
- Pedestrian Operated Electric Pallet Truck In Date (POEPT) (preferable)
- BUSINESS CENTRAL (BC) experience (preferable)
