We are looking to expand our team with a seasoned Smoking Supervisor to oversee the preparation and delivery of materials in the Smoking area, ensuring accurate accounting and effective communication with internal and external departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and leading all smoking processes to meet factory primary and retail operations.
- Ensuring accurate material accounting to serve retail lines and food service.
- Maintaining effective communication with internal and external departments.
- Attendance at all T1 and planning meetings to discuss performance and raise departmental concerns.
- Working closely with the hygiene team to ensure availability of correct equipment.
- Collaborating with primary and retail lines to achieve planned schedules.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the health and safety requirements of the department, reporting and escalating any issues.
- Responsible for all machines, equipment, and area pre‑start safety checks.
- Responsible for all maintenance, housekeeping & hygiene standards of the department.
- Responsible for ensuring technical compliance throughout the end‑to‑end process, department audit ready.
- Report all Non‑Conformances, investigate and close out within set time scales.
- Ensuring all products and materials meet technical specification on issuing to both internal and external departments.
- Responsible for internal auditing of the department and closing out any non‑conformances raised within set timescales.
- Ensure all training of subordinates is up to date and refreshed accordingly.
- Responsible for the maintenance of all department SOP and risk assessments, annual review to be completed.
- Ensure a succession plan is in place to cover annual leave and absence, without affecting planned volumes whilst maintaining overtime budget.
- Ensure that department labor and overtime spend is maintained against budget.
- Responsible for coordinating the receipt of all materials and consumables with external departments.
- Responsible for all material stock transactions delivered to the smoking, primary and retail lines.
- Responsible for correct stock rotation to both the primary and retail lines with no loss of materials.
- Ensuring all stock is weighed and labelled and completed in KPIs.
- All stock management and reporting systems are maintained and fully auditable daily.
- Stock discrepancies and material downgrades to be reported and investigated and closed out accordingly.
- Ensure all materials are accounted for correctly at end of day and week stock takes, full report to be complied for the weekly operations usage review.
- Ensure all department KPI’s are up to date and reported at daily and weekly meeting reviews (Full responsibility of the inputting of all materials to the KPIs).
- Responsible for the all SKU yield attainment against standard.
Key Skills:
- Previous stock management experience.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
- Excellent IT skills minimum, of Microsoft Office proficient.
- Proven track record in leading a successful team in either a production or warehouse environment.
- Excellent health and safety awareness IOSH minimum requirement.
- Proactive and self‑motivated.
