Who is New England Seafood International?
New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs circa 850 people across three sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from all around the world. We are part of the Sealaska Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation formed in 1971 and which is owned by 26,000 Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian shareholders, who are all bloodline descendants of the first settlers to the Americas.

Title: Junior IT Support Analyst
Reports to: Grimsby IT Manager
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £25,400
Shift pattern: Mon – Fri 8-5 (Some out of hours work may be required)
Hours: 40
Accountabilities
- Respond to incoming support requests ensuring timely resolution of user issues.
- Liaise with business users to understand, troubleshoot and resolve IT related incidents and requests.
- Provide Windows desktop support, assisting users with hardware and software problems.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues – LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi.
- Ensure day-to-day IT operational checks are fulfilled, such as system back up checks, application availability etc. – address failures, where required.
- Proactively engage with third party suppliers to ensure the timely resolution of any incidents and requests relating to their services.
- Maintain accurate records for software and hardware.
- Setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide clear instructions for issue resolution.
- Collaborate with IT team to escalate complex issues when necessary.
Required Skills
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 5 or higher.
- Be technically competent with good all-round knowledge of Windows 11.
- Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Be self-motivated and a team player, able to act on own initiative and contribute to team objectives.
- Provide excellent hardware and application support to business customers.
