New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood.
NESI employs circa 850 people across three sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from all around the world.

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior e Commerce Executive to help run and optimise NESI’s online performance across priority UK retail accounts.
It’s a fast-paced, hands‑on role working across multiple platforms on both branded and private label products.
The right individual will be data‑driven, highly organised and curious, with a strong appetite to learn and a passion for turning analysis into actions that improve sales performance.
The purpose of this role is to own and optimise NESI’s end‑to‑end e Commerce performance across priority UK accounts, turning retail media, digital shelf and online trading into incremental sales and GM.
This role uses disciplined analytics and reporting to identify opportunities, guide weekly optimisation, and improve return on investment.
This role will support the creation and implementation of high‑performing retail media campaigns and trading activity, and will help deploy c. £400k annual budget to drive incremental online sales and efficiency.
- Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, launch and optimise campaigns weekly (keywords, bids, budgets, placements, creatives).
- Build a repeatable test‑and‑learn framework (hypotheses, measurement, post‑campaign read‑outs).
- Govern CPC efficiency and incrementality, with a reinvestment loop that scales what works.
- Support growth of our q Commerce presence by tracking performance, improving visibility and availability, and coordinating actions to expand reach.
- Digital shelf and on‑site merchandising
- Improve online discoverability and the shopper journey across customer retail websites (search, categories, recommendations, cross‑sells).
- Create/optimise branded and category landing pages (e. g., ‘Fish Hub’) where retailers allow.
- Monitor availability and content hygiene (images, titles, pack sizes, claims) on a monthly cadence.
- Ownership of Brandbank for new product launches and content optimisation.
- Trading rhythm, reporting and insight
- Daily monitoring of spend, sales, Ro AS and share of sponsored placements; make rapid optimisation changes.
- Weekly competitor audit of sponsored activity and bidding strategy during key periods.
- Produce a consistent monthly e Commerce performance pack for the business (actions, results, next steps).
- Cross‑functional alignment
- Run structured monthly sessions with account managers and brand teams to update on the online performance and understand customer priorities.
- Working closely with the new product development team to launch new products online, on time.
- Coordinate with retailer online counterparts to prioritise and land the highest‑value opportunities.
What experiences, knowledge and capabilities do I need to demonstrate?
- Strong analytical capability and confidence working with numbers and datasets (Excel essential).
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail (able to run repeatable weekly processes reliably).
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and managing repetitive tasks accurately and consistently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with commercial, brand and category teams.
- Experience in FMCG / retail / e Commerce is desirable but not essential; the right attitude and learning agility matters most.
