Reporting to the Yard/Warehouse Supervisor, we are seeking a hard-working and conscientious individual to support our warehouse team. The core hours will be Monday to Friday from 06:00-14:30, with an expectation to cover team holidays which may include a 05:00 start when required.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the area of work (drystore and/or coldstore), racking and mechanical handling equipment is safe and logged via the WorkSafe system.
  • Ensuring warehousing meets company policy in terms of hygiene and food safety at all times and in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Accurately receipting materials in and booking materials out using the BUSINESS CENTRAL (BC) system via a scanning solution ensuring all trace detail is correct.
  • Picking from lists produced by planning, which may require splitting a pallet if the quantity exceeds capacity.
  • Reporting any near misses or damages in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring and escalating non-moving, delisted, quarantine stocks and samples.
  • Conducting regular stock takes of physical inventory into BUSINESS CENTRAL (BC) and determining root cause of any variances.
  • Working with other warehousing operations (drystore/coldstore/yard) and departments as needed.

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Good timekeeping.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Previous warehousing experience.
  • Full UK driving licence (pre-requisite).
  • Reach truck licence in date (minimum 2 years experience).
  • Counterbalance forklift licence in date (minimum 2 years experience).
  • Pedestrian operated electric pallet truck licence in date (POEPT) – preferable.
  • BUSINESS CENTRAL (BC) experience – preferable.

A typical day in this role will involve:

  • POEPT/Pick/Putaway operations – 50–70 %
  • Forklift (FLT) – 25–50 %

There will be manual handling, cold temperatures and some heavy lifting within this role.
