They are a small but rapidly growing business who pride themselves in offering high standard HGV trailer services which include MOT's, breakdowns, damage/accident repairs and trailer services. Due to the business expanding, they have an exciting opportunity for someone who has drive and is willing to learn and progress. We are recruiting a HGV Trailer Technician/Fitter to join their small team of professionals based at their equipped workshop facility on Haydock Industrial Estate.
Hours - 42.5 hour working week, 8am-5pm
The Role
- Mechanical servicing and repairs on HGV Trailers and occasional trucks
- MOT Preparation
- Carry out PMI inspections
- Diagnose faults and repair effectively
- Ensure Trailers are repaired to a high standard, road worthy and safe
- Complete digital worksheets and service sheets on tablet provided
- Use tools effectively and safely, keeping in line with good health & safety practice
What we are looking for
- Mechanical experience on HGV Trailers is essential
- NVQ, City & Guilds & Irtec qualifications desirable
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, fitting and maintenance
- Knowledge of PSV/ MOT Trailer inspections
- Can work safely in a workshop setting
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
