New Directions Liverpool is partnering with a small, one-form entry primary school in Crosby to recruit a passionate and committed primary school teacher for a full-time position in a Year 2 class. The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for a Year 2 class in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment.
  • Deliver daily phonics sessions, using the Read Write Inc. programme (training can be provided).
  • Prepare pupils for the Year 2 phonics screening check with support from the KS2 Lead.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds (or is on track to achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Is an Early Career Teacher looking to complete their induction.
  • Plans, prepares and teaches lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
  • Is committed to supporting pupils in early reading and phonics development.

Requirements

  • References covering the last 5 years.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
