New Directions Liverpool is partnering with a small, one-form entry primary school in Crosby to recruit a passionate and committed primary school teacher for a full-time position in a Year 2 class. The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for a Year 2 class in line with the national curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment.
- Deliver daily phonics sessions, using the Read Write Inc. programme (training can be provided).
- Prepare pupils for the Year 2 phonics screening check with support from the KS2 Lead.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds (or is on track to achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Is an Early Career Teacher looking to complete their induction.
- Plans, prepares and teaches lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
- Is committed to supporting pupils in early reading and phonics development.

- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
