About the Role

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Early Years teaching, including provision for Reception and Nursery where applicable.
  • Develop and implement a stimulating, play-based curriculum that supports all areas of learning and development.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and intervention staff to support children’s progress and wellbeing.
  • Monitor progress and use assessment to inform planning and personalised support.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in Early Years (Nursery/Reception) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Confident in planning and delivering play-based learning and early phonics, maths, and communication development.
  • Able to work effectively with teaching assistants and support staff to deliver targeted interventions.
  • Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service, if not already done.
  • Must have employment references covering the last 5 years.
