New Directions Education is working with a primary school in the Birkenhead area that is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs. This is a long-term, morning-only role, starting ASAP, ideal for someone with a calm, patient approach and experience supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The Role: You will be providing targeted support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them regulate emotions, remain engaged in learning and build positive relationships within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and emotional regulation
- Providing consistent, nurturing support within the classroom
- Helping pupils stay focused and on task
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
