New Directions are currently recruiting for an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Salford, starting as soon as possible and continuing until Christmas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate primary teacher looking for a full-time role where they can make a real difference to pupils’ learning and development.
The Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will take responsibility for the teaching and learning of a Year 2 class, delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
- Assessing and tracking pupil progress
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Working closely with teaching assistants and other members of staff
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Contributing to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a qualified primary teacher who:
- Holds QTS or equivalent
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Has strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum
- Is confident with planning, assessment and classroom management
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to providing high-quality teaching
