New Directions is recruiting for a Maths Teacher to work in a secondary school in Stockport. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting ASAP. This role is a temp to perm, so will start through supply before going onto a contract for the right candidate.
The Role:
- Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a range of abilities
- Support GCSE pupils with progress and attainment
- Assess and monitor student progress
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Contribute to the wider Maths department
The Candidate:
- PGCE with UK QTS or QTLS
- Secondary Maths teaching experience
- Strong Maths subject knowledge
- Excellent classroom and behaviour-management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- Committed to supporting students to achieve their potential
