New Directions Education is recruiting on behalf of a friendly primary school in Hazel Grove for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil from September. This is a Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, ongoing opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The pupil can display challenging behaviour but is enthusiastic about sports, so building a positive relationship through shared interests will be a key part of the role.

The Role & Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or in a behaviour support role is highly desirable.

- A genuine interest in sports or physical activity, using this shared passion to engage, motivate, and encourage the pupil both in and out of the classroom.
