New Directions Education is currently recruiting a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to work in an Ofsted-rated Outstanding, two-form entry primary school in Southport. This is an excellent opportunity for an early years professional who is passionate about supporting young children at a vital stage of their development. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing within a high-quality Early Years setting.

The Role:
- Support children across Nursery and Reception within the EYFS setting.
- Work alongside the class teacher to deliver activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
- Support children’s development in key areas including communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and early literacy and numeracy.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support where required.
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working in an EYFS or early years setting is highly desirable.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- Good understanding of child development and early learning strategies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide employment references covering the last 5 years.
