New Directions Education is currently recruiting a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities in a welcoming school in Skelmersdale. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting children to achieve their full potential.

The role is ideal for an individual with experience working with children who have additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or learning difficulties.

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEND is highly desirable.
  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to learning support.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide employment references covering the last 5 years.
