A high-performing special educational needs school in North Liverpool is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term position starting immediately, offering an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs. The school supports pupils with Autism (ASD) and Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD), and is looking for a compassionate and skilled teacher who can deliver high-quality, personalised learning in a nurturing and structured environment.

The Role

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies
  • Teach small classes of 6–8 pupils, allowing for a more individualised approach
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, focusing on both academic progress and emotional development
  • Contribute to a structured and supportive learning environment
  • Work within school hours of 8:30am–4:00pm, with timetabled teaching typically between 10:00am and 2:00pm

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Has experience or a strong interest in SEND education
  • Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs
  • Is resilient, patient, and able to build rapport with vulnerable learners

  • References covering the last 5 years
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
