A friendly and innovative primary school in Ormskirk is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to complete your ECT induction, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate. The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for primary ages children in line with the national curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
- Deliver daily phonics sessions, using the Read Write Inc. programme (training can be provided)
- Prepare pupils for the Year 1 phonics screening check with support from the KS1 Lead
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds (or is on track to achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Is an Early Career Teacher looking to complete their induction
- Has an interest in or some experience of teaching phonics (Read Write Inc. desirable but not essential)
- Is committed to supporting pupils in early reading and phonics development
