Job Description

We are seeking caring, adaptable, and dedicated 1:1 Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary and secondary schools.

In this role, you will provide individual support to pupils with a variety of additional learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them to access education and thrive in the classroom.

As a supply Teaching Assistant, you will have the flexibility to work in different school settings while making a meaningful impact on the lives of individual pupils.

Every placement is unique, requiring a positive attitude, patience, and the ability to quickly build trusting relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils throughout the school day.
  • Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other additional needs, where required.
  • Encourage engagement in lessons and help pupils access learning activities.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to follow personalised support plans and classroom strategies.
  • Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil and school setting.
  • Monitor progress, report observations, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
  • Support pupils during classroom activities, breaktimes, and transitions when required.
