We are currently seeking SEMH Teaching Assistants for schools and alternative provisions across Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The successful candidate will support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them manage behaviour, remain engaged with learning, and develop positive routines within the school environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Assisting pupils both in and outside the classroom
  • Building positive working relationships with pupils and staff
  • Promoting a safe and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months’ experience working with children with SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach

Experience in education, care, youth work, residential support, or mentoring is beneficial.

Location: Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Pay: £92.63 - £100.00 per day

Hours: Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities available

All roles are subject to enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
