New Directions Education is currently recruiting a nurturing and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis in a welcoming primary school located in Fazakerley. This role is ideal for an early years professional seeking a flexible working pattern of 2–3 days per week, with days adaptable for the right candidate. The Role:

  • Support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, play-based learning activities
  • Support children’s development in key areas including communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and early literacy and numeracy
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support children’s wellbeing and daily routines

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working in an EYFS or early years setting (desirable)
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach
  • Good understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide references covering the last 5 years
