New Directions Education is currently working with a primary school on the Wirral who are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work full time within their 2-year-old provision. This is a long-term role starting ASAP, offering a fantastic opportunity to support very early learners in a nurturing and engaging environment.

The Role: You will be supporting children aged 2 within an early year setting, helping to create a safe, stimulating and caring environment that promotes early development, communication and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children’s learning and development through play
- Assisting with personal care routines in line with EYFS guidance
- Encouraging social, emotional and language development
- Working closely with the class teacher and EYFS team
- Creating a warm, inclusive and nurturing environment
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification
- Experience working within EYFS (experience with 2-year-olds desirable)
- A caring, patient and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
- Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
- Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
- Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
