New Directions Education is currently recruiting Key Stage 2 Teachers to work on a supply basis in primary schools across the Leeds area. This role is ideal if you’re looking for flexible teaching work, whether you’re an experienced teacher, an ECT, or returning to the classroom and wanting a better work–life balance.

About the role:

As a Supply KS2 Teacher, you’ll step into a range of local primary schools to teach Years 3 to 6. You’ll work from pre-planned lessons, support pupils with their learning, and create a positive and structured classroom environment.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Maintaining a calm, supportive, and inclusive classroom
  • Supporting pupils’ progress, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Managing behaviour positively and consistently
  • Working closely with school staff and following school routines

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Is confident leading a classroom
  • Is reliable, adaptable, and professional
  • Has a positive, enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
