Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor with a strong background supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
New Directions Education is currently recruiting confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work within specialist provisions across Leeds. Due to increasing demand, we are looking for individuals who can confidently lead a classroom, manage behaviour effectively, and support students with a range of additional needs.

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain engaged in learning.
- Support pupils with SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Adapt your approach to meet individual student needs.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
- Gain experience across a variety of subjects and year groups.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous Cover Supervisor experience is essential.
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Confidence leading groups of students independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, resilient, and professional approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people’s development and education.
