New Directions Education is searching for an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support our growing number of partner schools across Leeds. With ongoing demand from schools throughout the area, we’re looking for a confident and committed HLTA who is available five days a week and ready to become an integral part of school communities.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a HLTA, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupil achievement and school success by:
- Delivering engaging lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Leading small group interventions and targeted learning activities
- Supporting pupils across a range of year groups and abilities
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Helping create an inclusive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment
- Making a genuine difference to children’s educational journeys every day
What We’re Looking For
- HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Previous school-based experience is essential
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach
- Passion for helping children reach their full potential
- Availability to work Monday to Friday
