New Directions are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to work in Secondary Schools in the Newport area. Are you enthusiastic and looking to give something back? A rewarding Job with great benefits that can lead to long term positions. You will be working under the guidance of teachers to support students across the curriculum.

This role is for a person who is, motivated, and can help children achieve their full potential, creating a positive environment for them to thrive. You may be working with children with challenging behaviour so you will need to be resilient, consistent and understanding of their needs.

  • A minimum of 3 months child-based experience/ or a background in the care sector
  • A child and adult DBS – or be willing to undertake one via New Directions
  • A willingness to complete mandatory training when required
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term
