Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ALN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the ALNCo, and other professionals to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with ALN, both in the classroom and through small group or 1:1 interventions
- Support the implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
- Promote pupils’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Assist the class teacher in adapting resources and activities to meet individual needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Liaise with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Experience of working with children with Additional Learning Needs (desirable)
- A caring, patient, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to motivate and engage pupils
