As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons, work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers with classroom activities and learning.
  • Assist pupils individually and in small groups.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and progress.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate.
  • Adapt to different school settings and classroom environments.

What we're looking for

  • A genuine interest in working with children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, reliable, and professional approach.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across a variety of schools in Flintshire.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential, as full support and training will be provided.
