We are seeking a passionate and adaptable English Teacher to join schools across Conwy on a supply basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire a love of English while delivering high-quality lessons in a flexible and rewarding role.
New Directions Education places great emphasis on recruiting and supplying newly qualified (NQT) or experienced English Teachers of a very high quality for supply vacancies across the UK. Whether your speciality is language, literature or both we recruit a variety of roles in English Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
As an English Teacher you’ll be expected to:
- Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
- Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
- Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
- Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
- Maintain discipline
- Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
- Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
- Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
- Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
- Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
