The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will
- Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 within the classroom.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils reach their full potential.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons and adapt learning where needed.
- Support students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation and general learning support.
- Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring or similar setting.
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
