Job Description

New Directions Education are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible, and dedicated Supply Teacher to join our team and provide high-quality teaching across Progression Step 1 and 2.

This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can quickly build positive relationships with children and staff while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons in line with the Foundation Phase curriculum.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
  • Assess pupils’ progress and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour through effective classroom management.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and school leaders.
  • Follow school safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies at all times.
  • Provide continuity of learning during teacher absences.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching children in Progression Step 1 and 2.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt to different school environments.
  • Experience supporting children with additional learning needs.
  • Knowledge of assessment for learning strategies.
  • Confidence using digital learning resources and classroom technology.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
