Job Description
New Directions Education are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible, and dedicated Supply Teacher to join our team and provide high-quality teaching across Progression Step 1 and 2.
This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can quickly build positive relationships with children and staff while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons in line with the Foundation Phase curriculum.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Assess pupils’ progress and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
- Promote positive behaviour through effective classroom management.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and school leaders.
- Follow school safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies at all times.
- Provide continuity of learning during teacher absences.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching children in Progression Step 1 and 2.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt to different school environments.
- Experience supporting children with additional learning needs.
- Knowledge of assessment for learning strategies.
- Confidence using digital learning resources and classroom technology.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
