New Directions Education are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supply team in the Caerphilly Borough. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys working across different year groups and school settings while making a positive impact on pupils’ learning.
The Role
As a Supply HLTA, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
- Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to raise pupil attainment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to provide an inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt to different classroom settings while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Contribute to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils.
The Ideal Candidate
You will:
- Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience.
- Have recent experience working within a primary school.
- Be confident leading whole-class learning.
- Be flexible, reliable and able to adapt quickly to different schools.
- Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
