New Directions Education is currently recruiting dedicated and nurturing 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary schools in Bradford. This rewarding role involves working closely with individual pupils who require additional support to access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
The Role
As a 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis throughout the school day.
- Help implement personalised learning strategies and interventions.
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEN, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Encourage positive engagement, independence, and confidence.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to support pupil progress.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting.
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is highly desirable.
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to adapt to the individual needs of the pupil.
