Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting a child on a one-to-one basis? We are currently seeking a part-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wirral, providing tailored support to a Key Stage 1 pupil.
This role would suit a compassionate and resilient individual with strong behaviour management skills who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Key Stage 1 pupil.
- Supporting the pupil’s academic, social and emotional development.
- Implementing strategies to encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted support.
- Assisting with classroom activities whilst promoting independence.
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant school-based experience.
- Has experience working with primary-aged children, particularly within Key Stage 1.
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Is patient, nurturing and committed to supporting individual pupil needs.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
