New Directions Education is looking for friendly, adaptable, and compassionate Cover Supervisors to support pupils across a range of schools and provisions in Pontefract. This role is ideal if you’re passionate about inclusive education and want a rewarding position where no two days are the same. You’ll be helping students with additional learning needs feel safe, supported, and confident in their learning.

What your day might look like:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and activities in SEN settings / classes
- Supporting pupils to stay engaged, encouraged, and focused
- Adjusting activities to suit individual needs, including autism, complex learning difficulties, and SEMH needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping create a calm, supportive classroom
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- Making sure every child feels safe, respected, and valued
