Role Overview
As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing and selecting candidates for New Directions Group of Companies, which includes Education, Social Care, Domiciliary Care, Checks Direct, and Lambourne House. You will also be responsible for recruiting internal staff for New Directions Holdings, covering divisions such as HR, IT, Finance, Training, Marketing, and Facilities. Your expertise in recruitment strategies will ensure we build a talented workforce that aligns with our company values and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high‑calibre candidates across all divisions of the New Directions Group.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job specifications, ensuring a clear understanding of role requirements and organisational culture.
- Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, screening CV’s, conducting interviews, and coordinating assessment centres where applicable.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline by leveraging various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, LinkedIn, networking, and industry events.
- Enhance the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely communication and feedback.
- Monitor recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and make data‑driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment to ensure New Directions remains competitive in attracting top talent.
- Assist with onboarding processes to ensure seamless integration of new hires into the organisation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in internal recruitment, preferably within a multi‑sector environment.
- Excellent social media skills with a proven ability to attract candidates via social media platforms.
- Good overview of marketing strategies and the ability to positively promote New Directions via social media platforms.
- Strong knowledge of best practices ideals in recruitment and selection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates at all levels.
- Proficient in using recruitment software and tools for applicant tracking and management.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
