A fantastic opportunity is available for a TA4 to join a welcoming primary school in Denton, Tameside, on a full-time, long-term basis from September. This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working across different year groups, can confidently step into lessons when needed and is equally passionate about providing strong pastoral support to pupils.

About the school & role

Based in Denton, the school is a large primary setting with pupils across EYFS to KS2, offering plenty of variety and opportunities to work across different age groups. The role will involve covering lessons across the school as and when needed, supporting pupils and staff in different year groups and adapting quickly to changing requirements. Alongside lesson cover, there will be a strong pastoral element, supporting pupils' wellbeing, behaviour and engagement and helping create a positive and inclusive school environment. This is a full-time, long-term position from September.

The ideal candidate

  • Holds TA4/HLTA-level experience and is confident taking responsibility for learning and supporting lessons across different year groups.
  • Has strong classroom management and behaviour management skills, with the confidence to adapt their approach depending on the age and needs of the pupils.
  • Is approachable, reliable and naturally good with children, with a genuine interest in pastoral care and pupil wellbeing as well as academic progress.
