New Directions works alongside the biggest comprehensive schools across South Wales, and are recruiting for Secondary Teachers in the area for daily/long term cover to teach their specialist subject. We are looking for dedicated and inspiring Teachers to provide creative and exciting learning environments to help children reach their developmental milestones by using a variety of teaching methods while providing them with foundational life skills.
Job Specification
The role of a Secondary Teacher is a far-reaching and rewarding role that shapes the futures of young people. As a Secondary Teacher you’ll be expected to:
- Hold QTS status
- Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
- Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
- Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
- Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
- Maintain discipline
- Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
- Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
