At New Directions, we have partnered with a local primary aged setting who are seeking a full‑time, long‑term SEND Teaching Assistant to support a small class of children with SEND needs. Due to school budgets, there is also the possibility of this role going permanently moving forward at the school’s discretion.

You will be working in their new provision setup, long‑term with a set class teacher and two fellow SEND Teaching Assistants to support the students. Whilst class‑based experience would be beneficial, we are very keen to receive applications from candidates with SEND support experience from transferable fields such as residential, support and care backgrounds.

This role will be term‑time only, working Monday to Friday for the working hours of 08:30 to 15:30. This role pays on a weekly basis at a PAYE daily rate from £92.56 to £103.02 per day dependent on experience & / or qualifications. This role is available for an immediate start or to start in September 2026 dependent on the successful applicant and intake dates for school.
