We are currently seeking a Welsh-speaking Primary Teacher to work across a variety of welcoming schools in the Llangollen area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils’ learning through the medium of Welsh where appropriate.

Through our supply agency, you’ll have access to a range of flexible teaching opportunities, from day‑to‑day cover to longer‑term placements. This allows you to shape your working week while gaining valuable experience across different school settings. We are looking for a committed professional who can inspire young learners, create a positive classroom environment, and contribute to the wider school community. New Directions Education are recruiting for Welsh Speaking Teachers who would be able to cover various classes within local schools. We are experiencing a surge in demand. Positions can start immediately, and we can offer you work in as many schools as you wish. Successful applicants will be covering classes ranging from Nursery through to Year 6, but if you have a Key Stage preference, we will match you up as much as possible.

Due to the current climate, the nature of our work is quite fast paced with supply teachers required to cover last minute absences at times. We will also be able to offer you long term placements if this is of something of interest to you. We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

As a Welsh Speaking Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Have a good understanding of the Welsh language
  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
