Whether you’re a Science graduate, an aspiring teacher, an experienced Teaching Assistant, or someone with a strong Science background looking to move into education, we’d love to hear from you.
As a Science Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom, helping to build confidence, understanding and engagement across Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons.
Your Responsibilities May Include:
- Supporting students during Science lessons on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and practical experiments
- Encouraging students to engage with learning and develop their confidence
- Supporting pupils who may require additional academic or pastoral support
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
We’re Looking For:
- A genuine interest in Science and education
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience working with children or young people in an educational, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, supportive and proactive approach
- A Science‑related qualification, degree, A-Level or relevant experience would be advantageous
