New Directions Education are working in partnership with a Leeds, SEN Provision, who are actively recruiting for a pool of dedicated and compassionate SEN Teachers. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an inclusive, nurturing environment that caters to learners with complex learning needs.

We want to hear from:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies, inclusive teaching practices, and behaviour management
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting vulnerable learners
  • Creative

You will be working with learners across all phases, providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom. The role involves:

  • Delivering high-quality, individualised teaching to learners
  • Developing and adapting resources to support a diverse range of learning styles and abilities
  • Working collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, therapists, and families
  • Implementing EHCP targets and tracking/monitoring pupil progress
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
