Teaching Assistants to support a number of secondary schools across the Leeds area.
We are looking for individuals with previous classroom experience who are passionate about helping young people succeed.
While full-time availability is preferred due to the needs of our schools, we are also happy to consider candidates seeking part-time or flexible working arrangements.
The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will
- Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 within the classroom.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
- Support students with varying academic abilities and additional learning needs.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
- What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have
- Previous experience working within a classroom environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
- Confidence supporting learners across a range of subjects.
- A genuine passion for education and helping young people achieve their potential.
Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs would be advantageous but is not essential.
