Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for your next opportunity in a welcoming primary school?

We are seeking a dedicated HLTA to join a supportive primary setting in the Leeds area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

You will confidently deliver planned lessons, lead small group interventions, cover classes when required, and work closely with teachers to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

We are ideally looking for someone who is available on a full-time basis , although part-time and flexible working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality learning activities across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
  • Provide whole-class cover during teacher PPA, absence, or training.
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to raise attainment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working within a UK primary school.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive, proactive, and flexible approach.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
