Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early years of education? We are currently recruiting full-time EYFS Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across Leeds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated individuals who have experience working with children in an Early Years setting and are committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and socially.
The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will
- Support children in Nursery and Reception classes with their learning and development.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative activities.
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Support pupils through play-based learning and structured activities.
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support progress.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in an EYFS, Nursery, Reception, childcare, or school setting.
- A nurturing and patient approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Relevant childcare or education qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
