New Directions Education are recruiting a pool of confident, adaptable, and compassionate Cover Supervisors to work across a range of SEN provisions in Leeds.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with additional learning needs to achieve their full potential in a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.

- Confident in managing classroom environments and promoting positive behaviour
- Able to adapt teaching and support approaches to meet individual needs
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient when working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
- Passionate about inclusive education and committed to making a difference in the lives of young people
Working as a Cover Supervisor in SEN provisions is both rewarding and meaningful, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey.
As a Cover Supervisor , your working day will involve
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities to learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities..
- Supporting students in maintaining engagement and focus throughout the school day.
- Adapting your approach to meet individual learning styles and needs, including those with autism, complex learning difficulties, and SEMH needs.
- Promoting positive behaviour and creating a calm, supportive classroom environment.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and staff teams.
- Ensuring the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every learner under your supervision.
