A large, two-form entry primary school in Huyton is on the lookout for an experienced, or newly qualified, primary school teacher to work in a Year 3 class on a full-time basis. As a result of a strong and supportive senior leadership team, the school has very little turnover in their teaching department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher at the beginning of their career to develop within a supportive and nurturing environment. We are open to receiving applications from Early Years Teachers (ECTs) and more experienced.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for a Year 5 class in line with the national curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
- Deliver daily phonics sessions, using the Read Write Inc. programme (training can be provided)
- Prepare pupils for the Year 5 phonics screening check with support from the KS2 Lead

- Holds (or is on track to achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Is an Early Career Teacher looking to complete their induction
- Plans, prepares and teaches lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
- Is committed to supporting pupils in early reading and phonics development
