We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and inclusive school which is based on the outskirts of the Ystrad Mynach area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the learning and resources of the Nursery class in the morning and covering PPA in the afternoon. This would be a full time role Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects and age groups.
- Plan and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
- Provide cover for teachers during planned absences.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support pupils with diverse learning needs and promote inclusion.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies.
Requirements
- HLTA or Level 4 qualification.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
