New Directions Education are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Chester and surrounding areas from September. This role is ideal for qualified teaching assistants who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development within a positive and inclusive school environment. We work with a range of welcoming and supportive schools, offering opportunities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 on both short-term and long-term assignments. Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
- Promoting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting with classroom preparation and learning resources
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working within a primary school setting (desirable)
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- A full driving licence and access to transport (beneficial)
