New Directions are seeking Student teachers, graduating this year and Newly qualified teachers to cover a range of needs in local schools in the Cardiff area. Our schools are looking for new, flexible, enthusiastic teachers to engage pupils and encourage new methods of learning. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in your first year of teaching and provides the opportunity to work with and build good relationships with the schools in Cardiff.
Teachers with experience of working with additional learning needs are also desirable as New Directions work with schools that have specialist units for pupils with:
- Autism and Asperger’s
- Emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Communication disorders
- Hearing impaired
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (or willing to register)
