PRU Secondary School Teaching Assistant β Cardiff
A supportive and well-established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Cardiff is seeking a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Teaching Assistant to support secondary-aged learners who require additional behavioural, social, emotional, and educational support.
This rewarding role involves working closely with students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them engage positively with learning, develop confidence, and overcome barriers to education.
You will play a key role in creating a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment while encouraging positive behaviour and personal development.
Working alongside teachers, behaviour mentors, and external agencies, you will help deliver tailored support that enables students to make meaningful progress both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students.
- Support learners with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Encourage positive engagement with learning and classroom activities.
